Self Reflection

My name is Teo Yee Heng though i prefer to be called by my english name - Andrew. I'm 21 this year (thinking of it makes me think how time flies). Having a need to introduce myself I was forced asked myself what i really like or dislike. Through this i have discovered a very interesting fact - I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT I LIKED OR DISLIKE!! Thus, in the past week i've been going through a period of self reflection in search of my preferences and distaste.

I finally came to a conclusion in which i must have, because of the time frame of this assignment (each member have to post their introduction by the end of week 2 making this the second last day of the week). I found that i have a passion in reading. Not reading Newspaper of cause but Manga (Japanese Comic) and story books that pushes my brain to think such as books by Dan Brown. Besides reading, i notice that i play wayyyyyyyyy too much game. I play almost any kind of game strategy, action, simulation any game u name it and most probably i've either played it or heard of it at the very least. Cunrrently i'm playing Left 4 Dead and Dawn of War both which i find very facinating and addictive.

I don't read much of the newspaper but i do read news online. This has been a habit drilled into me by my parents.

"Heng have you read today's newspaper? How are you going to answer the questions the interviewers would ask when you go for your scholarship interview?" (well despite that, i didn't earn any scholarship... Sobs)

Well this was what made me uncomfortable without updating myself about the world.

Anyway my hobbies and life requirements frequently lead me to this few websites. The top of the website list is http://www.onemanga.com/. This is where i quench my thirst for manga. It's very good as it is frequently updated and has a very wide variety of manga. http://www.crunchyroll.com/ is the site i visit to watch anime (japanese cartoon: usually bout the manga i've read). I also frequent http://www.gamespot.com/ to get reviews of games that i've heard or is planing to play. www. gamefaqs.com it where i find the tips to play my games more effectively and most of the times ways to kill enemies and boss that made me reset or load the game like 25 times. At the bottom of my top 5 websites is http://www.cnn.com/ where i get the breaking news.

So what do i do online? Most obviously read manga. After my manga session i'd surf the net to look for promising games then look at the walkthroughs (guide and tips to play the game). After that i usually watch some anime online or funny clips found in crunchyroll and finally before bedtime i'll check out what's new on CNN.

Elllooooooo..^^ My name is Kok Yoong Jien, you guys can call me Ah Kok as well. I come from Rawang, Selangor. However, I just shifted to Rawang few years ago. Before that, I was stayed at Batang Berjuntai, a small village where near Kuala Selangor.

Curley hair, overweight, and dark skinned are the best adjectives to describe myself. I’m 21 years old and sports-fever boy. I love to play every type of sports, especially basketball. I have been playing basketball since small. But, by spending so many years on playing basketball, I’m still not a capable and good basketball player. (sad)

My primary school is SJKC Yuk Chih, which located at Batang Berjuntai – a small small village in Selangor. My primary school just got around 200 students, comparing with other KL primary school, it just maybe 20% of their total amount of students. ^^ My secondary school is KL Chong Hwa Independent High School. It is located in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. In the 6 years journey of my secondary school, I’ve experienced many and learnt many many things. Furthermore, I met many best friends over there. And currently, I am doing Bachelor of Commerce Accounting in UTAR Sg Long and this year is my last year to complete my degree.

Although it not sounds familiar, but you better don’t miss out with this website ^^ This website is selling about some idea, stylish fashion. Besides, the more important is all the products are designed by our in-house designer, and more than 80% is my design. Please go and support me. I’m really appreciating it very very much!!

The top 2nd websites is http://www.google.com/ . The most powerful and useful search engine of Google really helps me a lot. It not containing only information, but images, map, and a lot of articles can be searched from there. Every student especially university students really need Google’s information to complete their coursework and to clear their doubts!

Chinese.cari.com.my – the top 3rd websites I visited is the largest community portal in Malaysia. This is also the top5 in Malaysia most popular website. There provides a platform to other members to discuss some latest or hottest topic. Furthermore, I always read e-news from there because the web speed is fast than other e-news websites.

The top 4th website I most visited is http://www.hotmail.com/ . I have to check my mail everyday because some customer or visitor will place order or make inquiry to me via e-mail.

Lastly, the top 5th website – http://www.yeng9.com/ - The website who created by my best friend and housemate-Fatty Cheah. YenG9.com is a brand new Chinese forum, containing a lot of information and games. I strongly believe this website will more famous than Chinese.cari.com.my IN FUTURE. So, please support yeng9.com !!!

I am Tham Jun Hui from Serdang, currently pursuing my studies in University Tunku Abdul Rahman, sg long, now taking an undergraduate program - Bachelor of Commerce (HONS) Accounting, year three semester one, in tutorial group 5.

During my free time, I like to play sports like table tennis and swimming. Doing sports allows me to build up my stamina and improve my general health; besides, it is also entertaining and perhaps one way to socialize with my friends and family. Apart from that, I also have the passion to cook. Trying out new dishes and recipes is challenging and fun.

Surfing the internet is a MUST for me, due to the drastic development of e-commerce in today’s dot com era. One of the website I visit most is http://www.mail.yahoo.com/ for checking emails and to communicate with my friends and family. Besides, I also frequently visit http://www.hlb.com.my/ to do online transactions, for instance paying bills or do online shopping. It is much more convenient to do e-banking then conventional banking because I can do it anywhere, anytime and anyplace as long I have access to the internet. In addition, I also surf http://www.youtube.com/ during my leisure time to entertain myself after a tiring day. Almost any video clip or movie clip is available in this website. Moreover, http://www.google.com/ is also one of my commonly visited website. It is one of the best way to search for information from the internet, therefore I use it almost every day to do research. Lastly, I also keep myself update with the university’s announcement and club activities at http://www.utar.edu.my/ . Besides, it is also a platform for me as a student to communicate with lecturers through utarmail to clarify my doubts.
